How a Prada garment is made from start to finish

This clip gives you fantastic insight to how a fashion label, in this case Prada, puts together a piece for a ready-to-wear collection. It’s much like the process designers in popular TV shows, Project Catwalk and Project Runway go through. We’re first shown the vast bolts of fabric to choose from, from the sewing and fittings. What is interesting is to see the precision of the hand sewing, all the hands that go into putting together a single piece – which ends up being a patent leather coat in yellow, navy and gunmetal. I can’t figure out what Prada collection it was, but it’s intriguing otherwise.

What do you think of the clip?

Check out the manufacturing of a Prada shoe and the creation of the Prada bag clips too. The luxury leathers and fabrics they use for shoes and bags is just amazing.
