It was a who's who of the fashion world that gathered together to farewell designer Gianfranco Ferré at his funeral yesterday. The designer who passed away on Sunday from a brain haemorrhage was buried in his hometown of Legnano, Italy. Some of the industry's leading designers including Donatella Versace, Valentino Garavani, Giorgio Armani and the Missoni family attended the service to pay tribute to their friend.
"[He was] a gentleman from another time," said Santo Versace, whose brother Gianni Versace was killed ten years ago on Sunday. The Versace family will commemorate Gianni's life in the city of Milan by holding a series of events honoring the late designer who was gunned down in 1997. [source]
