CQ Holiday Outfits - Where are you going, what do you want?

Every year at about this time we jump on the bandwagon and do some cliched capsule wardrobes as part of our 'CQ Suitcase' feature. Previous CQ suitcases suitcases have included Shopping in New York, Camping in Cornwall, Clubbing in Ibiza and even geeking it up at a conference in Las Vegas. I'd like to see a wardrobe for a family holiday on a tropical beach that is near a big city somewhere in the Far East, with some madcap adventures with friends.

No, really - I'm going on a month-long vacation to the Philippines, which is tropical, cosmopolitan and Far Eastern all at the same time. As I am traveling with my mother and visiting family (especially a cousin who is my best friend), there will be family and adventures involved. And I'm full Filipino, with strong roots in the country, so I can tick the "home" box as well. :D

So far I'm thinking of nautical/preppy with a little bit of hippie chic involved, so I've got an idea, but I need help with packing - you know, finding clothes that "travel well". (And clothes that don't make me sweat like a hog, since it will be quite humid and I'm not the skinniest person around...)
