Beyonce's $100k gold Balenciaga outfit at the 2007 BET Awards
Pft, and you thought her red carpet gown was shiny? You ain't seen nothin'. A silver D&G curvy-mermaid get up doesn't hold a candle to the metallic space suit and US$100,000 gold embellished Balenciaga leggings and matching gold-plate bra top that 'B' stripped down to for her 2007 BET Awards musical performance, 'Get Me Bodied'. Forget the old, used, armored 'warrior princess' type of look. 'B' brings down the house as the armored 'warrior princess...in space!'
Ouch to the boob-squoosh-inducing plates of her top, and double-ouch to that triangular navel-poke-thing! (I don't even wanna know where she'll end up with rashes after the kind of booty shakin' 'B' tends to dish out.) While I admit the gold geometric patterns on her legs are rather eye-catching, I'm oh-so glad she didn't try to wear that as a gown on the red carpet. ('Cos, you know...I wouldn't be surprised if she did.)
