Ascot Racewear: 1920s/30s-inspired outfit
'Tis the season to be betting with Epsom race meet last week and Ascot fast on the approach. If you're planning a day out at the track then here is an outfit for you. The style is 1920s/30s centering around this gorgeous custom-made felt cloche hat complete with octopus-style tentacles. That is one weird and gorgeous hat! That milliner has been added to my bookmarks for sure!
But to be boring and practical for a moment - the brim doesn't look like it's wide enough to keep off the sun (needs to be 2 or ideally 3 inches all round), and felt hats aren't really suitable for the summer. But who cares... I'm sure the same milliner could make me another! Woohoo!
