2007 BET Awards red carpet arrivals

Beyonce sure knows how to look stunning and sexy in Dolce & Gabanna, and this gorgeous silver gown from the Fall 2007 collection fits her like a glove. She’s at the 2007 BET Awards (Black Entertainment Television) in LA yesterday. This dress is very similar to the one Naomi Campbell wore when she left Sanitation Duty, except hers was sleeveless and had a lower neck line. And on the right is Rihanna in a cute as a pie white dress. The ruching and ruffled detail on the end is really sweet and her glowing tan and gorgeous curls off set the outfit perfectly.

Oh dont let me forget my girl Mary J., she can bring it too. And again this is a women who brought her own style to music. Her music seem to tell the story of a black womans heart in the same way as the Queen of Soul Ms. Aretha Franklin. Its not a matter of who is better because they all did one thing, and that is they use their God given talent that they were blessed with and makin that paper! Now that what I'm talking about!

Why does everything with women have to be catty and petty? Everybody is entitled to their opinion. The fact of the matter is Beyonce, Ciara, Rihanna and Diana Ross all hold their own. I personnally think that in each of their own way they are all beautiful and talented women. Not so much that one is better than the other. They all bring their own style and uniqueness to the entertainment business. I applaude them for not just copying what has been done in the past but for being individuls and expanding on what has been done before them by taking it to the next level. (Beyonce with Tina Turner and Ciara with Janet Jackson). I would love to see Beyonce and Ciara collaborate on something together, now that would bring down the house. Now The Great Ms. Diana Ross has what they both want longevity, to look as good as she does at her age and the respect and admirations of your peers. Now remember ladies there was a time when black women were only good for making babies. Look how far we have come but we still have far to go, and because of the women before us is why these women are successful. This was accomplished because of UNITY AND TOGETHERNESS. That does not mean we all have to have the same opinion but to RESPECT the next persons beliefs. I have to say looking at all of these ladies make me proud to say i am a black women!

I personally think that beyonce did not deserve the video of the year award or the female best r&b singer. I am not impressed at all. There are a lot of successful young ladies such as Mary J. Blige who doesn't have to shake their ass to be popular. you do not have to do these things to be successful. We need to start back recognizing abillity instead of thinking that every song has to be sexually inclined. I miss the anita baker era.
