Yay Or Nay Wednesday: Issac Mizrahi for Target ruffled taffeta dress

Last week we discussed whether celebrities becoming their own brand was a good thing, or a bad thing. The majority of you said "nay" and that most of the clothes in the celebrity lines weren't even that great. However, there were still a few of you who were in love Kate Moss' clothes for Topshop, and are quite happy with celebrity brands. Now, what does everybody think of this week's Yay or Nay frock?

I love the color, as it reminds me of a box from Tiffany, but other than that, this Issac Mizrahi for Target ruffled, taffeta dress has me confused. It looks a bit like dessert, which can sometimes be a cute for a dress, but I feel like the cut and shape are a bit off. Maybe it's the neckline? Or perhaps just the shape of the ruffles...

Yay, I really like it. I don't know if I could wear it successfully, though, because it would make me look narrower up top and wider below. But I'd give it a go. And for the few people who have shoulders wider than their hips, this would be great.

That said, this dress is pretty but only for superskinny teens with mosquito bites for boobs! Definitely not me then:(

Nay. The waistline is too high and the ruffles are faintly disturbing. I hope it doesn't come in pink because then the ruffles really would look like certain pictures in my gynaecology textbook!

Tough call--gorgeous color, and I think the ruffles actually camoflage a dodgy area. The waistline is the problem. Too low for an empire but too high to hit the actual waist. I have to say nay.
