It seems that the latest trend in celebsville is the break-up, with so many of our favourite (and least favourite) couples splitting up over recent months. Where's the love, Hollywood? Luckily for old romantics like me, there are a few pairings that have yet to succumb to the big black cloud that's hanging around tinseltown right now. Here are our favourite young and stylish couples...
James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff
My staff may argue that this is all a cheap ruse for me to be able to put pictures of James McAvoy on the site (did you see Becoming Jane and Starter for Ten? *swoon*) and that might be true...but he and his actress other half are fast becoming the Brit couple to watch so they are definitely worth a mention here. They're young, gorgeous, quirkily stylish and both have so much talent it hurts. It makes you sick, doesn't it?!
Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal
Oh, to be Maggie Gyllenhaal. She's never without a gorgeous man on her arm. If it's not her brother, it's her gorgeous fiance. Maggie and Peter are another achingly cool couple, this time from the other side of the pond. They met while filming a low-budget indie flick, fell in love and are now parents to baby Ramona...but they still have time to turn up at events looking stunning. Grrr!
Chris Klein and Ginnifer Goodwin
I've always thought (especially after seeing him onstage shouting like a maniac in 'This Is Our Youth') that Chris Klein has about as much charisma as a wet paper towel, but to snag gorgeous Ginnifer he must have hidden depths. She's definitely an improvement on Katie 'I sold my soul to Xenu' Holmes, and has quickly realised that Chris's suited-and-booted classic preppy looks are best offset with pretty dresses, lots of Marc Jacobs and super-silky hair. In a world of too many cookie cutter blondes, Ginnifer has a completely unexpected kind of beauty, and hopefully her chic style will rub off on her man.
