The end of prints

If (like most of us at Shiny Towers) you love prints, then make the most of them this summer as it may be the last you'll see of them for a while. Autumn Winter 2007 promises to provide a great shift in fashion trends, not seen since the end of Boho (R.I.P). The catwalks were filled with block colour which has begun to filter in to many high street store's summer collections. A good example of this is coloured jeans or the "nu-rave" neon trend.
Right now I'm torn between indulging my love of prints and moving on. There are many amazing printed tops and dresses around at the moment at nearly all of the high street stores. The two featured above show the varying styles and colours on offer. The yellow, black and white dress (left) is from Topshop for £35, and the blue and white (right) is by Tibi at Netaporter for £294

The Autumn-Winter will not simply bring a full 1980's revival (which is already well under way) with the return of padded clothing but also a 1990's trend. Yes, you read correctly, it has officially been enough time since the turn of the century for us to reminisce about the nineties. Think mid-nineties fashion as seen in early episodes of Friends, teen-movie Clueless, and aussie soap Heartbreak High. Think high-waisted everything, mini skirts, doc marten boots, baggy trousers and bumbags!
