A fire which tore through three stories of New Look on Oxford Street has reportedly cost the store and surrounding retailers £1 million in lost trade. The fire which caused parts of Oxford Street to be closed for over 24 hours damaged a lot of stock in New Look and neighbouring Marks & Spencers. The London Fire bridgade has still not decided on the fate of the store amid fears that the building is not safe and may collapse. The fire was the worst to affect Oxford Street in 25 years.
