Yesterday while checking out what Matalan will be serving up this coming autumn/winter we were excited to see a few new labels hanging off the racks. Indeed, Matalan will not only be giving us some great clothes but will also be launching not one, not two, but three new brands! 'Et Vous' is the new premium range with more trend inspired offerings, 'Matalan' will provide the value with basics and 'Soon' will target the more mature among us. This move comes as Matalan repositions itself and its price structure more clearly for shoppers. Loving that!
As for the clothes - well, you can see for yourself with our exclusive preview...
Preview of Matalan Autumn/Winter 2007 collection

Matalan's collection for next season is a real treat. For all you sixties fans there's good news as it looks like that era is going nowhere fast with a dash of '40s style for good measure. Next season Matalan foresees we'll still want our skirt hems high worn over coloured tights. Or for those who can't bear the thought of wearing anything other than trousers the trend is - high waists and wide legs.
Their autumn/winter range is divided into seven categories: Vita, Medieval, Gamine, '40s Femme, Pop Boutique, Metallics and Future Noir. They have successfully adopted the predicted trends of chunky knits, metallics and leather into their affordable range, much to our delight. There are also clear references to Edie Sedgwick and others from the time of Valley of the Dolls. Oh, and the shoes and bags are definitely worth a look as well when they become available next season. I can already see where my monthly pay cheque is going to end up.
