Liza Minnelli wants her Halston dress back

minnellihalston.jpgSometimes it's much wiser to keep your mouth shut and I suspect that is what Ilse Werther is realising right now. The model and owner of New York's Wink boutiques recently appeared in Real Simple magazine wearing a 1970s sequined tunic originally designed for Liza Minnelli by the late Roy Halston (pictured right on Werther). According to the article, Werther's mother who worked with the designer fell in love with the dress and so Halston gave it to her. The dress was then bequeathed to Werther who decided to share her fashion treasure with the rest of the world. Bad move. It is now reported that Liza Minnelli wants her dress returned. A phone call from Minnelli's reps and Werther has reportedly said that she will never give back the frock. Miaow! One guess where this is all going to end up...
