Gareth Pugh's collection is going on sale for the first time in August when you will be able to buy the Sunderland-born designer's clothes from Browns Focus, The Pineal Eye and Liberty in London, as well as Barney's and Colette. Part of the new wave of British designers that are making London hip again Pugh made his latest collection in a freezing studio that he squatted, only recently getting a kettle! He recently told Icon magazine: “I am my own sweatshop, I’m a fashion designer but I’m also the intern. If we run out of pins, I’ve got to buy them.” The Sunderland born designer is helping to bring festish back in fashion, with his exaggerated PVC shapes (left) and coats made of synthetic hair but is also keen to be mainstream success.
