Fergie to be a judge on 'Project Runway'?

I love me some fashion reality TV and when I'm not trying to pick out my favourite model on America's Next Top Model, I'm trying to pick out my favourite designer on Project Catwalk. So, imagine my surprise when I heard that soon to joining the judging panel on the American version of the show Project Runway, could be Fergie. No, not the Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas' "humps and lady lumps" fame but our very own Duchess of York. According to a close source she is considered a style icon in the US and the people behind the show think she will be the perfect judge to bring "style, grace and elegance to the programme."

Style icon? Are they talking about the same woman we all love to hate and cringe at when she steps out in one of her usual flamboyant numbers? However, as I tried to search for photographic evidence of her historic fashion disasters I could only find pictures where she looked, well frankly quite stunning. Who knew? Maybe she's got the fashion kudos to give Heidi Klum a run for her money yet.

I haven't heard anyone here in the US talk about her for years. Of course, our media has no idea what normal people think. They keep trying to tell us the Black Eyed Pea is fashionable too, but we're not buying it.
