In what has to qualify as one of today's strangest fashion stories, a New York jury has heard how a former Women's Wear Daily writer planned to kill Vogue editor Anna Wintour. The writer - one Peter Braunstein - was in court on charges of sexual abuse after allegedly dressing as a firefighter in order to break into a woman's apartment and attack her. His plans to kill Wintour were found in his diary, which included crazed rants about the editor, including the line, "I’ll tell you why I’m going to kill Anna Wintour - because I just feel like it." Braunstein lost his job at WWD after making a fuss about only receiving one ticket to the Vogue Fashion Awards. His trial continues.
