Like the Alex Perry show, the Fashion Assassin show at Australian Fashion Week featured short shorts and mini mini’s. Seriously, can anyone who isn’t a size tiny be seen wearing these bottoms? Themed Dirty Disco, you can understand why the bright colours were chosen – and the pep talk Fashion Assassin designer was giving models backstage before the show. "It’s 2am, you’ve just stumbled out of the disco and you’re straight onto the catwalk,” cries Alex Zabotto-Bentley.

Now I can’t remember the last time I saw this much lurex in clubs (who goes to “disco’s” these days?), especially in metallics! So figuring hugging, I’d have to start dieting now if I wanted to wear the collection in the next Australian summer. Oh wait, I will never want to wear micro mini’s and short shorts. And if you’re wondering why girls are taking snaps of themselves with little digi cam’s on the catwalk? Well I’m guessing it’s because Sony were a sponsor.

Ah micro mini’s and hot pants... what a flesh baring summer it could be if Alex Perry and Alex Zabotto-Bently has anything do with it. Mind you, this was yet another show I didn’t get invited to, so I don’t think it’s really trend setting ;).
