Which city is the most fashionable in the UK?

UKfashion.jpgWhat a surprise it's London! According to an online survey posted on Anorak, London is still the most fashionable city in Britain with Cardiff coming in second place.

However, if you live in Plymouth you may not be impressed with the survey finding it the least fashionable in the country. Followed by Aberdeen, Leeds and Leicester.

Kylie Minogue ranked in the Top 10 National Fashion Icons section (not bad for an Aussie!) followed by Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Aniston.

Keep reading to see the full lists. And remember, we didn't host the survey so please don't shoot the messenger!

I know you said don't shoot the messenger, but I can't believe that Glasgow isn't on the most fashionable cities list. That is absolutely criminal. I'm also impressed that my hometime Belfast (I'm now living in Edinburgh, so can take no credit), made it on. Bizarre, since there are very few boutiques or non-high street trends going on there.

GLASGOW FIFTH ON THE LEAST FASHIONABLE! *cries, chucks out wardrobe and moves to London*

The sign when you drive into Glasgow is "Glasgow; Scotland with style". Oh the shame...

I'm glad to see my hometown Birmingham in the most fashionable list. Shame about Leicester, my uni town, being in the least fashionable...

Kylie ????!!! They are joking. She has botoxed etc forever to look permanently aged 25 then wears ghastly dowdy "chic" which makes her look plump, and about like a 55 year old well heeled housewife.. If that is fashionable then the world is mad.The only people on list qualifying really are 4,7 and 9.Is Kylie yet more symapathy on the darn 2 year old sick saga.?

Glasgow 5th WORST??!! No way!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Claire | April 25, 2007 10:20 AM

HA HA HA!!! M. McGregor is spot-on - Kylie DOES look like a wealthy middle-aged housewife and I am fed up with the sight of her waxy botoxed bucktoothed face permanently fixed into a fake smile. Who on earth wants to look like that? And all the other comments made about Glasgow I agree with 100% - Glasgow is one of the most fashionable cities in the UK! This survey is rubbish!

Yup, I'm surprised by Glasgow too - it's generally considered to be one of the best shopping cities in the country outside of London, and I always seem to see lots of stylish people wandering around there. Maybe my taste is just way off, though :)

Glasgow 5th least fashionable city in the UK?? Is this a joke? Have people who answered OR issued the survey actually been to Glasgow? This is ridiculous...

I always thought my home town of Swansea was one of the least fashionable towns in the UK & was slower to cotton onto trends, especially since moving to Manchester 10 years ago. That all changed this morning! I sent my dutiful step-father to our local Swansea Sainsbury's to try & nab an Anya Hindmarch bag this morning, and most of the waiting girls had camped over night... I think they need to review these lists!!

Thanks everyone for all your comments. It seems that those commenting from Glasgow aren't the only ones who feel this is outrageous...
