20799-large.jpg Here is another date for your diaries ladies: 22 September 2007 - 6 January 2008. That is when The Golden Age of Couture: Paris and London 1947-1957 exhibition will be on at the good ol' V&A.

Gowns by Balenciaga, Balmain, Givenchy and of course Dior will be on display to highlight the creation of couture fashion, and new feminine style that came about in a backlash against the austerity of war.

I know in my lifetime the chances of me ever affording couture are pretty slim, so this may be as close as I get. There will be an admission charge, but the exact amount is yet unconfirmed.
