Off to the Easter Parade in New York?
... Unfortunately I'm not but if I was then I'd have the perfect outfit to wear. But onto that in a moment. Firstly, what is the Easter Parade in New York exactly? Well it's an age-old tradition that began on the streets of New York City over a century ago. The event allows the public the opportunity to show off their weird and wonderful talents via the annual Easter Bonnet Festival. Paraders walk along Fifth Avenue around the area of St Patrick's Cathedral. Participants are also known not just dressing themselves up in wacky costumes but also their pets. Last year The Sartoralist managed to take some wonderful photos of some of the more traditionally attired folk, proving that the parade isn't just for the kiddies. Keep reading to see what I would be wearing if I were lucky enough to be in New York this weekend...
Happy Easter everyone!!
