Irina Lazareanu Models Kate Moss For Topshop - First Pics!

irina.jpg
The first pictures of Irina Lazareanu modelling the Kate Moss for Topshop collection are available to view on the official website. As the former drummer of the Babyshambles, I think you’ll agree that Lazareanu was a perfect choice to be the "other" face of Moss’ rock chick range. As one fashion commentator put it, “she transcends fashion and music almost to a celebrity icon level.” Keep clicking to see more photos from the shoot…

I must say, now having seen the official press shots I’m really loving this range. It’s obvious that when Moss decided to base it on items in her own wardrobe, she really meant it. The waist coat, skinny jeans, boy trousers, rock tees, mini dresses and glam floor length frocks all feature; representing the different facets of Moss’ life. From her rock n’ roll lifestyle with Pete Doherty to the heady world of high-end fashion. There are also hints of her laid back style with floaty blouses, cropped jeans and vest tops – perhaps for those quiet times that she spends with daughter Lila. But it’s unanimous – the Shiny girls’ favourite item from the line is the asymmetrical white dress (above cut, left). Even though we predict it will sell out in an instant and worn by every woman on the street, this still gets our vote for the most stand out piece in the collection.

The clock is ticking... Kate Moss for Topshop launches 1st May.

Alas, the first shot above the cut of the waistcoat leads me to believe we need to fetch this young thing a pie or she might not live to see a May 1st launch...

That girl looks ill! So there'll be nothing in the collection to fit us normal size people then?

Love the first dress

How can they justify using such a sick looking model? Almost turns me against the range...but that white dress is sooo pretty!!

I really like that stripey jacket and trouser thingy, yay can't wait! I just hope size 12 actually stays a size 12, I'll get to trying the clothes on and find out I'm actually a "size 18".....somebody feed that woman!!

Her shoulders and arms are distracting me from the clothes.

You know you're really skinny when you're pushing your stomach out instead of holding it in!

Emergency chocolate needed ASAP! For her and for me...just looking at her makes me want to eat an easter egg...or 5!

oh man someone get that girl some pie and chips, that is revolting, she looks like she'd snap like a twig if you touched her. I'm not a fan of top shop or kate moss and this is just one more reason I certainly will not be giving them my money

This girl is really fugly. How she got to be a model is beyond me.

photography is an art, and on camera thinner girls always photograph better. fact. Irina is a supermodel because she is in proportion, the right weight, and her looks are a bit quirky, and as a an ex-babyshambler she has the perfect rock and roll/indie looks. She therefore suits the kate moss look, and the clothes she has designed. Her look is right on the money, and I reckon the clothes will be flying off the hangers.

I adore every single piece in this collection and will be ridiculously envious of anyone who manages to get their hands on any of the items.

lol at all these fat people getting mad at irina instead of focusing on the clothes..

Tbh its like she might be naturally thin... i think she looks really good in the clothes and thats whats important. You should be looking at the range not the model !

Topshop uses slave labour to produce clothes. Don't buy from there unless you want to give money to have your clothes produced in sweatshops.
