Ladies, it's Prom season! (Well, at least for our US readers.) I'm way past my Prom-going days, but I'm sure every girl in high school has got themselves all worked up in a tizzy trying to find the perfect dress. I had a look on Jessica McClintock's page yesterday, which resulted in Wednesday's Yay or Nay, and while I found a lot of gorgeous dresses, I also came across this one:
Don't get me wrong, I love Jessica McClintock, however, this dress is icky. It looks like something Tara Reid would wear to the Golden Globes, or worse, like you had your Aunt quickly sew together a prom dress out of your bed sheets. For Prom, think elegant, not overly trendy - or trampy. Some Prom goers fall in the trap of thinking that certain dresses are fashionable simply because of who the designer is. Don't fall for that. If something is oogly, it's just that: oogly.
