Disney unveils bridal gown range

disneyariel.jpgFor all of those who ever dreamt of having the ultimate fairy tale wedding, here is your chance! Walt Disney has launched its own range of princess-inspired bridal gowns based on some of their most famous animations including Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Beauty And The Beast. The dresses which were designed by Kirstie Kelly were unveiled in New York yesterday and are priced between £755 and £1,500. Don't get too excited they aren't an exact replica of the dresses from the films for example, the frock to the left was apparently "inspired" by Ariel from The Little Mermaid. The range is set to expand to include bridesmaid and flower girl dresses in October this year. Now all that's missing is Prince Charming to come sweep you off your feet!

These "inspired" dresses are lackluster at best. If I really wanted a princessy dress, I'd have it custom made rather than get one from Disney.

I agree, I call some false advertising. Not princessy at all!

Um, these look like pretty adverage wedding dresses. Belive me, I've been wedding gown shopping a lot lately and none of these stand out from whats at even Davids Bridal. In fact, Davids has some that look more Cinderella-like and princessy than these. None of the ones here look like Disney wedding gowns at all. Just basic boring wedding dresses in various styles.

As a bride to be, I am extremely happy to see a couture style gown that might actually be affordable! These styles are more than I ever expected from Disney! Thank You Kirstie Kelly! To those who remain skeptical: David's Bridal can not hold a candle next to these gowns - not even close. My personal favorite..JASMINE! Can't wait to try them on.

Helloooo brides...the goal is NOT to LOOK like a princess with a huge puffy dress. no thanks. These look much more sophisticated. One can feel like a princess and look like a queen. I love the idea - let's see the rest.

Jasmine- They are pretty but they don't look like the Disney princess bridal gowns, not even close! Jasmine dress is not ideal but the cinderella one is actually tastful! The Ariel one looks like a Walmart nighty!

Chantile- They look great but I wouldn't say they are disney princess collections, I think real fans would value true replicas from the movies! Puffy or not!

i love them. they arent "exact" replicas (i wish they were), but they are beautiful and just plain enough that i would love to buy them. I've been searching around for mine and i love these. I really love ciderella.
