Comme Des Garçons do Speedo swimsuits at Topshop

I love what Comme Des Garçons have done with the classic Speedo swimsuit. Instead of sexing it up and customising it with Swarovski crystals like a lesser designer might have done they stayed true to the iconic design and I love it. It also comes in red, but I prefer the navy as it's kind of schoolmarmish, in a good way. Comme Des Garçons have made four other swimsuits all in either navy or black with similarly bold designs. It's almost made nostalgic for school swimming sessions, but not enough to start talcing up verruca socks and a swimcap!

Blah. They could've done so much more with this. Speedo and the rest of the performance swimsuit industry have a lot of room for improvement, design wise, and this is such a safe, boring design. Plus, it's got a weird scoop neck/low cut leg combo that makes it look like someone older should wear it. The horizontal stripe one is good, but the cut of the suit itself looks extremely dowdy.
