Amelia Earhart was really cool and is definitely one of my fashion icons. All the pictures of her show a radiant, energetic looking woman with her trademark wavy crop and flying jacket. The first woman to fly across the Atlantic she had a fierce ambition and sense of adventure; it's a bit of a cliché but she really is an inspiration to all women. In a letter to her husband she wrote: "I want to do it because I want to do it. Women must try to do things as men have tried. When they fail, their failure must be but a challenge to others." In honour of the brave aviatrix I have picked out an outfit fit for attempting a round the world trip, see after the jump for outfit image and product links.
A men's white shirt and beige skinny jeans are the perfect foil for authentic looking distressed boots and a leather flying jacket. A pretty scarf adds a feminine touch, and don't forget that all-important compass!
