Vanity Fair Celebrates 13 Years of Annie Leibovitz

vanityfair1995.jpg
Maybe I'm showing my age (a whole 24) but it's hard to believe that it's been 13 years since Vanity Fair first commissioned famed photographer Annie Leibovitz to shoot their annual celebrity gate-fold cover. Waaay back in 1995 (above) when the first cover was commissioned, "Hollywood's Highest - The Class of 2000," ten of Tinseltown's up and coming actresses were rounded up and photographed in sexy, revealing lingerie. It included Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker and Sandra Bullock. Fast forward thirteen years and this year's cover was reduced to just four funny blokes - Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Chris Rock and Jack Black. Vanity Fair is currently paying tribute to Leibovitz's work on its website. Keep reading to see more Leibovitz covers for Vanity Fair...

I can't believe it's been that long either! I do love Annie Leibovitz' work - keep contemplating buying her new coffee table book.
