confused.jpgWhat the heck is going on right now with the weather? Can you tell that it's my first March in London? I can vaguely remember someone telling me not to get too excited about last week's sunshine as there would surely be one more arctic blow before summer could begin. Even so, what is up with blue skies and sunny spells one minute then gale-force winds and snow the next? I mean what's a girl do, or more importantly, wear? I tried consulting Confused.com but to no avail. Little did I know that they only dealt with insurance queries and could only offer me the best rates on car insurance when I don't even own a car! Luckily the Shiny girls were on hand to offer their tips on how to dress for this crazy weather. Keep reading to see what they said...

1. Dress for cold weather not warm.
That way you can easily remove layers if the weather changes and become warmer. It's always best to wear too much than not enough.

2. Always keep winter accessories on hand.

This includes gloves, a scarf or a hat. These are great for adding extra warmth but aren't too bulky that you can't easily fit them into your bag if the weather warms up.

3. Don't be scared to wear your summer colours.
Just because the weather can't make up its mind right doesn't mean you automatically have to slip back into your old winter wardrobe. If you're anxious for summer to begin and just can't bear the thought of wearing dreary black or grey one minute longer then get out those summer colours. That brightly coloured skirt will be fine under a pair of black tights or leggings. Mix and match your pieces accordingly and don't be afraid to try new looks.

4. Pack a brolly.
Living in the UK this should be a permanent fixture in your daily belongings anyway. If you're not a fan of lugging one of those long-handled brollies around town then don't dismiss the smaller fold-up brollies that pack away neatly in your handbag. They may not always be as sturdy but they are way more convenient.
