H&M go all seventies

hm70s.jpg
H&M have definitely been looking back to the era of kaftans and flares for their Summer range. Not content with the return of the maxi dress, they're attempting to sway us away from the '60s and towards the '70s in an even more extreme way in the coming months. High-waisted jeans, casual pant suits ('trouser' suit just doesn't sound the same) and sporty touches are the looks they love. I think I'll be giving baby pink towelling a miss, but I'm tempted by the floral top in the middle (£29.99), and those sunglasses will be mine! See more pics here.

H&M go all seventies - Comments

  • Hum... not sure about those mom jeans...

  • I'm just not into maxi dresses and high-waisted jeans! Though they probably suit some figures, I much prefer the 60s style mini dresses that we're seeing. Plus there were some much better trends to come out of the 70s.

Oh HELL no. Those are three of the ugliest outfits I have seen in the entirety of my young life. It's one thing to be inspired by seventies 'fashion', it's quite another to copy it directly - ill fitting, hideously unflattering jeans, nauseating prints and all. I have a strong, strong loathing for this collection.
