When I saw Mary-Kate Olsen wear high waisted trousers the other day, the high waisted-wide legged trend grew on me. I used to like straight legged pants because they had a wonderful elongated effect on a female body, while I thought on someone shorter, the wider the leg the more it didn’t work. They just looked like a 1990s thug (not that there is anything wrong with them of course). With the return of the higher waists, the look is more sophisticated and sleek.
