Francoise Hardy outfit

This is probably your last chance for a while to use Françoise Hardy as sartorial inspiration. In the '60s the French singer was a perfect mix of beatnik and boho, with sultry eyes and Jagger-esque lips. She provided backing vocals to Blur's 'To the End' on Parklife and released an album of her own material in 2000. Perfectly suited to the '60s revival at the moment, but come the autumn you'll no longer be able to get away with the eyelinered dolly bird look so get some Françoise Hardy style before it's too late. Apparently an influence on Nicolas Ghesquière, head of Balenciaga, Hardy has also appeared on the cover of Vogue.

Keep things beatnik in a pencil skirt and simple lace ups, the punched leather adds interest. A trapeze jacket gives a '60s shape and the pale blue shirt makes it more of a springtime look. A flowery tote gives a hippyish vibe and the earrings remind me of one of Hardy's hits 'Toutes les Garçons et les Filles' (All the Boys and the Girls).

Oops! I've got a version which Damon sings in French with Françoise Hardy and I always thought she was singing on the original one too. I was just listening to Stereolab as well!
