Is Peacocks the new Primark?

This question has been asked a few times over recent months, but this time it's really worth thinking about. Not to be left trailing behind by discount high-street chains like Primark and New Look, Peacocks are investing £21.5 million in expanding their company. First on their agenda is a new store opening in Southampton in May followed by another 30 stores to add to their existing 470 strong chain. The Southampton store will be the company's first 'megastore'. "Southampton shoppers want fast fashion and trend-led must-haves at the best prices, that's what our new store will be about," said Tim Bettley, Peacock's managing director. But will it actually rival Primark as the next big thing in budget fashion? That is the £21.5 million pound question!
