I'm dying to get into spring clothes hence the obsession with 'transition wear'. My latest transitional item is this lovely 'Carly' cardigan dress from French Connection (£70). It's structured enough to work as a dress, and the colour looks so fresh it's perfect for spring. To quote mothers across the country, at the moment there's no way you're wearing that on its own. A long sleeve t-shirt (I'm really getting back into these after chucking all mine out) or shirt will look good under the dress with the belt maintaining a waisted shape. The bottom is long enough to look good with tights or jeans and boots if it's really chilly. The only downside about this dress is the price, I might start dropping hints for my impending birthday!
