New York Fashion Week: Tracy Reese
Classic, pretty and vintage inspired. That sums up the Tracy Reese Fall 07 collection. Oh you want more? Alrighty then lets start with the orange, who knew it was such a versatile colour? Somehow Tracy made the bold and sometimes child like colour cool and sophisticated with ruffled sleeved tops, double breasted jackets and loose flowing dresses. Often accented with black and polka dot tights the look was fun and added an extra dimension to the pieces.
Then there was the latte coloured pieces (pictures after the break). Following in the same vein as the orange, it took things up a level with skinny cropped pants topped off with a beautiful cinched in the waist jacket with ruffle detail under the belt.
Tracy also found a fan in Kelly Rowland who loved the metallic pieces, which ranged from a simple shift dress to a tunic with detail ruffles and bell sleeves. For the brave, she added a bomber style metallic jacket as well as a metallic a-line coat for ladies who are looking to shimmer during the dark winter days.
To not disappoint her fans, she also included some detailed and lively
prints on high neck shirt dresses, skirts and turtle neck tops.
Together with the skinny pants and shorts in beautiful winter tweed,
this was a perfectly wearable wardrobe that will hopefully see its way
into people’s wardrobe next winter.
