I don't want to get all "Brown! It's the new black!" on you here (because Gemma hates that!), but the designers at BCBG Max Azria have certainly been having a bit of a brown moment. They used it on evening dresses, on outerwear, for tights... everywhere, really. Yes, there were a few splashes of black and white too, but if I were to sum up this show in one word, I think that word would have to be - go on, guess! - "brown".
Other trends from the BCBG show included puffy winter jackets worn over flimsy little dresses (well, I guess that's one way to get some wear out of your dresses when you live in a cold climate) and some rather nice prints in shades of gold and - what else - brown. Worryingly for me, though, the shapeless sack dress looks like it'll be going strong well into winter. More pics after the jump.
