It's getting towards the end of fashion week, and the CQ team are a bit behind on their runway reviews (the problem with going to the shows is that you run out of time to write them up). Because of that, we're cutting corners with mini-reviews of the best stuff from the designers we've yet to cover, starting with these amazing swathes of geometric print chiffon...

Jonathan Saunders didn't just show these gorgeous gowns, but they were definitely the highlight of a really beautiful collection. These are the kind of dresses we'd love to see on young, style-savvy actresses at awards shows instead of the predictable stuff they usually go for. Imagine Selma Blair or Zooey Deschanel in one of these beautiful, unusual dresses. Far more interesting than strapless satin or plunging necklines!
The Preen show was a far more subdued affair, with an '80s inspired silhouette that sat just above the knee, hugging the waist and hips with an emphasis on the shoulders and neck, with lots of hooded dresses and jackets, bulky sleeves and head-to-toe colour co-ordination.
Hamish Morrow's collection, in contrast to a lot of the stuff that hits the catwalk in London, was modern, mature and almost entirely black. He's a designer I've never really fully understood, and he didn't help matters this time around with huge unflattering cropped puffa jackets and dresses with padded cowl necks that I can't really imagine anyone wanting to buy. However, the more subdued pieces, like well-tailored belted coats, chic black dresses and charcoal coloured micro minis were much better.
