Jenni Kayne for Glamour Limited Edition Tee at ShopBop

Shopbopsplendid Isn’t this tshirt pretty? It was originally a Jenni Kayne sketch of an elegant woman standing in a field of poppies printed on a tshirt by Splendid. The tshirt is currently on sale exclusively on Shopbop.com with part of the proceeds going to her nominated charity - the Rape Treatment Center at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center.

This is just one of the six tshirts that ShopBop, Splendid, and US Glamour magazine have organized, in total there are six up and coming designers involved with the Designers Give Back project. The other five are: Rachel Roy, Rodarte, Sari Gueron, Vena Cava, and Thread Social. Each have picked a charity that is close to them and 30% of the sale price ($68) will be donated to them. With only 250 tshirts printed per designer, you better hurry if you want to pick up a particular designer tshirt. Find out more at ShopBop.com.

Jenni Kayne for Glamour Limited Edition Tee at ShopBop - Comments

  • I checked out Jenny Kayne tshirt but it seems that a lot of people have gone crazy over it. It’s out of stock! Is that Rodarte shirt really go with that red belt or is that a separate thing? Vena cava is a mixture of elegance and being punk.

  • These shirts are absolutely gorgeous! I think the Jenni Kayne one is actually my favorite, although I do also like Rachel Roy’s and Sari Gueron’s, too. The Thread Social shirt is a bit much for me, but I know several people who would look really good in it. It’s just a bit too bold for my tastes. While some people might think that $68 is a bit expensive for a t-shirt, I don’t think so in this case. I gladly pay more for an item when I know a good portion of that payment is going for a charity. I think it’s really cool that these designers are giving back, and I like the fact that each got to select her favorite charity instead of all the sales going to the same place. That makes it much more personal, in my opinion. The only downside is that the shirts are limited – I don’t think they should have done that.
