Christopher Kane for Topshop now available online

Topshop_27

It's been available in some stores since Friday, but if you've been waiting for Christopher Kane's new Topshop collection to become available online you've probably had a long wait. It finally appeared late this afternoon, with 7 items available, including the  two dresses and bodysuit (bodysuit!) shown above. Was it worth the wait? Well, I guess that'll depend on who you ask. For my money, I'd have to say no:  the dresses are £110 - £120 each, and I can't personally see myself spending that kind of money on these designs any time soon, but of course, that's just me. What about you?

I ordered the grey dress online and it arrived today, and I have to say, not overly impressed. Think I will be returning it and spending my £110 on something a bit more wearable!

I have looked really hard at these creations over and over and over and nope...i am definetly not seeing things, (or imagining them!)This collection really does exist and yes, we the gullible public are suppossed to buy them, even worse wear them and even worse, think we look good because we got it in Topshop so that must be cool...right?....Celia Birtwell's fab wearable collection was great, as were the prices, Laura Lees, again, a great wearable collection, again great prices too.

Topshop may think they have now have us in a false sense of security, but i think this time they have made a big mistake, because unless they think women have truly lost their minds (highly unlikely)and their fashion sense, i doubt i will be seeing this on any self respecting women soon, infact i think the only place i might see this collection is in the Topshop sale on a buy one get one free rail....and to be honest i doubt even that will shift them. Come on Topshop, reward us loyal customers, not punish us.

I think the bodysuit is wretched, but I do love the grey dress..The line isn't on sale here in Dublin, which sucks, cos I think I'd buy the grey one..Could buy it online but prefer trying on clothes first..The Christopher Kane stuff is more directional than Marios Schwabs line, but the Schwab stuff is infinitely more wearable..I think ever since Topshop did that first Celia Birtwell line they've gotten a bit cocky and think they can sell us anything and we'll lap it up.

  • It's not just you...I can't remember the last time I saw anything THIS ugly...

Good lord, the thing on the right looks like those bluebottle jellyfish we get down here!

Is that meant to make me want to wear it ... ?

    Didn't think so.
