Roman Polanski's horror film Rosemary's Baby was an instant hit when it premiered in 1968. Its leading lady, Mia Farrow, left audiences in awe not just for her chilling performance but also for her wardrobe throughout the film. With pixie cropped hair, Farrow's role as Rosemary Woodhouse, a naive housewife and soon-to-be mum, set fashion trends worldwide with young women keen to cut their long perfected curled locks and hitch their hems with cute smock dresses and cropped jackets. • I've never seen this movie, but i have been told a few times that i look just like Mia Farrow in this movie, so i had to look it up. i must say that she looks awsome, and i am very flattered to hear that people think we look similar!

I do have that same haircut and have had it for a few years, and well, i guess some guys just don't like short hair, but the ones who do love this haircut. :-)

Haha, I just watched this for the first time and a line in it really made me laugh.

Near the beginning of her pregnancy, when she loses weight, Rosemary says to her husband she looks awful, and he says "You look great, it's that haircut that looks awful".

I just had pretty much that same haircut last week, and my boyfriend had the same reaction!

Men clearly aren't huge fans of that haircut.

I would love to have short hair, but I had a bad experience with it when I was younger (people asking me to my face, "Are you a boy or a girl?"). Rosemary is a shining example of the kind of girly short hair I desperately want.

  • God I love that film! It's a visual feast! Particularly like her interior decor everything yellow with floral plates on the wall, made me want to paint everything yellow and yes, cut my hair.
