Britney Spears not good enough for Lydia Hearst's bags
Oh dear... It really must suck to be Britney Spears right now - fashion wise at least. Not only is she ridiculed daily for her bizarre fashion choices, she's just been snubbed by Heatherette muse, Lydia Hearst, too. Britney had apparently fallen in love with a bag designed by Hearst for the label, and shown at this year's New York Fashion Week. When Brit asked for one of the bags, though, and promised to be seen with it in the front row, she got a firm "no" from the bag's designer...
"I'm only giving the bag to accomplished young women who are doing something positive to affect the world around them. They are women I look up to and respect, like Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker and Anne Hathaway," said Hearst. "They share the same high standards, and give back to the communities in which they live." Ouch. Well, I guess that told Britney, then...
