Yay Or Nay Wednesday

Good day, ladies! Last week's tiered, trench coat from Moschino got mixed reviews, however, it appears that the "Yays" out numbered the "Nays" by about 3 votes.  So, I suppose that verdict is a "Yay" even though I still can't personally decide! The dress I've picked for this week actually seems to slightly resemble last week's questionable fashion item.

This Horizontal Striped Dress from Stella McCartney is, well, I don't know. I like the shape of it, but considering it's basically a  heavy knit turtle neck, it seems like it would hang weird. Or stretch out to look like a potato sack. It even slightly reminds me doll clothing; like a weekend outfit for "Snowy Ski Lodge Barbie". Or do you think this is cute, and wearable? How could you make this work?

Nay. This would not look good on a lot of people. One of the most basic rules of style is to stay away from thick horizontal stripes. They cut the body in half and make a person look shorter. Not only would this dress make someone look shorter, but they would look stockier too just because of the thick sweater material.

Nay! It's hideous!!! I agree, the shape is nice... but the fabric with those colors? I don't imagine it would hang well. I usually have a clandestined love affair with anything Stella McCartney... but this, nono, this just won't do.

Yay! Opaque tights with tall dark boots for sure, though perhaps more of a sandy, greyish-brown hue of tights to match the top section of the dress and prevent the outfit from becoming too bottom-heavy.

Something is really making me want use boots and purse to warm up the look with rich browns, and maybe some brass in the hardware.

That's exactly what it looks like! An ice skating outfit for a barbie that your Aunt knitted, lol.

Why didn't I see this before??

(This is actually really funny because I think my Aunt did actually knit me some Barbie clothes once..hmmm...)

As it is: Nay... however would have been a definite yay, if the middle band was a different colour.. maybe a warm caramel or dark ginger colour.. blend it a little hey...
