Ugly Betty Hits the UK
As Ugly Betty hits our shores this Friday, fashion peeps are beside themselves with anticipation. We've all seen the adverts on TV (If you haven't, you need to watch more TV!) and you'll see that the show ain't called 'Ugly Betty' for nothing. America Ferrera, the actress who plays Betty is clearly not ugly, but the clothes her character wears... urrrgh someone pass me a blowtorch. It's all nylon, so it should all melt right off.
I've been sneaky enough to see all the episodes so far and give it a huge thumbs up, I can tell you it only gets better (the programme that is, not the clothes). However, it's not all fashion faux pas', there is some glamour injected into the show via Wilhemina Slater, Creative Director at the fictitious Mode Magazine. Though if for some strange reason, Betty is your style inspiration, fear not her wardrobe can be yours. Don't be fooled by the ickness of it all, some of it is quite pricey.

If you go to the US abc.com, they have all the episodes aired to date for people to view for free. I havn't watched any, but if you want a sneek peek you should check them out.
