Officially kicking of the US Awards season yesterday was the 33rd AnnualCarmen2_1 People's Choice Awards, a public-voted event where there didn't appear to be many surprise winners, except on the red carpet...

Carmen Electra proved that she has finally ditched her Baywatch busty babe image for a more sophisticated look by rocking up to the awards in a Grecian style teal frock. With her hair swept back in loose waves, Electra added simple bronze jewellery to compliment the bold colour of her dress. In dazzling satin, Carmen Electra wins our People's Choice Award for Best Dressed.

Other best dressed celebs on the night were Halle Berry in a very short but very sassy bronze dress. And with legs like that why wouldn't you strut your stuff in a dress such as this?

We were also quite a fan of Hayden Panettiere's (star of the new US TV series "Heroes"), multi-toned maxi dress. Matched with a simple clutch purse, loose curls and silver earrings, she looked pretty as a picture strolling down the red carpet.

Oh, Sandra Oh what were you thinking? Recently making it onto Mr Blackwell's Worst Dressed List for 2007, Sandra did herself no favours by choosing this hideous frilly black layered number.  Also opting for the layered look was Rebecca Gayheart. We're still unsure what exactly this dress is all about - satin with a bow at the top and tulle ballerina skirt at the bottom... We just don't seem to get it!

Making it onto our "we've-seen-it-all-before" or safe list at the People's Choice Awards is Jennifer Aniston and Kate Walsh. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Jennifer Aniston just as much as the next person, but her tendency towards the same old boring dresses and everyday tousled hair is starting to get old. For such a gorgeous woman she certainly isn't taking any fashion chances with this baby pink handkerchief dress. Likewise, Kate Walsh's navy number is simply too plain Jane for such a red carpet event. Time to start accessorising girls!
