A bit of an antidote to all the froth and fuss of London Fashion Week (which I'm quite excited about!) is the Science Museum's Refashioned: From Waste to Wear lecture and catwalk show, hosted at the Dana Centre, around the corner from the LFW tents at the Natural History Museum. You can bring your own clothes in to TRAID's stand and swap them for new old clothes. The lecture itself promises to be interesting, and addresses the fashion industry's inherent wastefulness. Fashion is always going to be obsessed with the new, but independent designers are showing that you can produce ethical designs or revamp old clothes with style and flair.
