Pure Style armliners take care of your clothes

Armliners Every fashion fanatic knows the importance of looking after your clothes, but would you go quite this far, I wonder? These are Pure Style's "arm liners". Yes, arm liners. They're designed to pop under your arms, thus keeping your clothes free of both unattractive damp patches and those telltale white marks that some deodorants can leave behind. They have a special adhesive backing to keep them in place, and, just like in the sanitary towel ads, will apparently "help you feel confident all night long". You'll be skydiving and roller-blading in no time, then.

Well, I guess they're ideal for anyone who doesn't want to use deodorant, but I'm still not sold on the "comfort" factor here. Anyone tried them? Anyone want to try them? They're £10 per pack at ASOS if you do...

These have been around for a long time -- never seen them called "armliners" by anyone, but always "dress shields". They're used frequently in theater performances; I know a fair few dancers who use them to protect costumes, too.

I haven't used dress shields personally, but they're really not a bad idea, and the people I know who do use them swear by them, especially for protecting fine silk tops. (And you don't use them without deodorant; you use them to protect your clothing beyond what deodorant can do.)

I think they're a great idea.. I have some tops that are synthetic and tight fitting in the arm area, and they're ruined now because the arms have stains on them, despite washing them pretty much as soon as I've taken them off. It's a good idea if you have an overactive sweat gland too, I guess. I hate seeing people with those huuuuuge marks under their arms. Gross.
