Minidresses ahoy!

Dres

Christmas has left me rather squidgy in the middle, thankfully I can still crack out the gams. For the unitiated that means I will be getting my legs out starting with the retro dress from Oasis, it is a bit pricey at £60 but I love the wallpaper style print. Tophop's dress is cheap at £35 and is a good wardrobe staple if you want something quirky. Another quirky basic is Miss Selfridge's trapeze dress (£25); the mushroom colour will bring any other neutrals you pair it with bang up to date. See after the jump for three more dresses.

Another cracking dress from Oasis (£40), the ethnic print looks fresh rather than hippy-dippy thanks to the cut. Forget Dov Charney's pervy adverts, American Apparel's jersey dress is great for layering and £18 is a good price for an ethicallly made item. At the higher end of the market from Net-a-Porter is Marc by Marc Jacob's lovely tiger print tunic which will set you back £300.

Hay peeps, thanks for comments & tips! It seems like leggings and boots might work for me. Carrot & chicken is probably result of teenage sporting and adult indulging, fat reserves seem to stay in the thigh area..

  • Thanks for the comments guys, I'm trying to picture carrot body with chicken legs! I usually wear woolly tights and pumps, and layer shirts, jumpers or tees underneath. Its all about the warmth!

I LOVE the keyhole and the buttons on that Topshop dress!

i just bought myself a black minidress at h&m and it only cost for £9.99!

ive always wear my mini dresses with knee high boots with leggings or with cute pumps ;)

I quite like that blue-grey dress and the flower print one.

Personally, I'd wear tights and open-toed pumps along with a nice colourful belt and/or a nice colourful chunky necklace to contrast against the monochromatic hues of the dress.

An alternative to the pumps could be a pair of boots. I'm thinking of those fluffy winter boots with pom poms. They'd look really cute!

    :)
