Kate Moss to continue as the face of Rimmel

Adv_5738 It's not been a good week for poor old Kate Moss - with "old" being the operative word here, apparently. Yes, cosmetics house Rimmel have just confirmed that Kate will continue to act as the "face" of the brand, but only after a week of speculation in which it was suggested that Rimmel were on the lookout for a younger model (literally), with Kate being considered "too old" at 33 to continue.

Now, personally I think Kate looks better at 33 than a lot of people look at 18, but what does everyone else think? Should models (even those of the "super" variety) give up the ghost when they hit their thirties, or is there life in the old model yet?

Kate Moss to continue as the face of Rimmel - Comments

  • Definitely not! Shirley Bassey was in the M&S Christmas campaign and she's almost 70, and in my opinion she's never looked better.

  • it all about looks in the fashion industry so if at 33 she can still look as great or better than her younger peers, or still have that public appeal, then age should not be a factor in determining the length of a model's career.

  • Jael

Revlon (I think) uses women of a variety of ages, including Susan Sarandon. Not only is it nice to see how well the make up will work on wrinkles, but I also find something alluring about an older face.

  • Well, Lancome was never really the same after they dumped Isabella Rosselini, was it?
