Frock Horror Of The Week

Happy Thursday, everyone! Last week we had the lovely opportunity to feast our eyes on the Batwing Jumpsuit from Topshop. I'm glad we all agreed that it was a little too batty for our liking.

What is this? Azzaro has made some amazingly, beautiful dresses, but this chiffon mini dress is, well, not. The color is juvenile, the bow looks like it was ripped off of a bridesmaid dress from 1983, and I can imagine it smells like moth balls. It's beyond unflattering and it makes me itch when I think about myself wearing it.

Post a comment and tell us what you think of this week's Frock Horror!

I would never wear it, but I can see some stick like Micha Barton making it work.

  • I quite like it. I'd wear it with some black tights and high shoes. Maybe that doesn't say much about my taste, in that, I like what's meat to be the frock horror of the week. Oh dear.

Last week though... spot on with the Horror of the Batwing Jumpsuit.

    I love it.

I'm quite surprised this is considered a Frock Horror - I like it! I love purples and pinks, so the colours really appeal to me, and the shape is great too. It's got a lovely 70s/Ossie vibe going on. Shame about the price...

  • Hmm, I don't know - it has some redeeming qualities. I actually do like the shape - it's very floaty and fun, and I think gathered necklines are flattering. I could see wearing it over jeans for a night out.

But the color ... It reminds me of (and here I go, dating myself) the costumes Donny and Marie Osmond wore on their variety show in the late 70's. Did they even show that in the UK? :) Sorry if I'm making a reference that doesn't make sense to anyone ... but trust me, they were awful, these drapey chiffon things in many, many shades of purple and lilac ...
