Forget whether or not Ms Winslet has been airbrushed. There are far more exciting things going on in January's edition of UK Vogue. Turn to page 59 for a piece on fashion blogging which contains a short but sweet mention for Catwalk Queen, alongside some other big names. In fact, we're doing pretty well in terms of press coverage at the moment. I was also in last month's Cosmo talking about women who blog, and Kiss and Makeup was in yesterday's Sunday Telegraph 'Stella' magazine.
For an industry that aims to be on the cutting edge, fashion has always been surprisingly lacking in terms of embracing the web, so it's nice to finally see the mainstream press picking up on the fact that there are loads of amazing writers out there blogging about style and providing some real insight. I've been soapboxing about fashion on the web in some shape or form since 2002, so as far as I'm concerned it's been a long time coming. Perhaps where Vogue go, the rest of the industry will follow? Fashion blogs are so big now that some of the blogs mentioned in the piece probably have a higher number of unique visitors per month than some glossies have readers. But I'm preaching to the choir, you all know the web is the way forward where fashion is concerned!
