Topshop are expanding their partnership with People Tree and launching a capsule collection available across the UK. This is great news after hearing about working conditions and wages in the garment industry last week. If you have concerns about these issues your best bet is to keep supporting these ethical/Fairtrade ranges so that fashion traders continue to stock them, especially after yesterday's Guardian article doubting the effectiveness of the Ethical Trading Initiative. Boycotts are tricky, as the last thing you want to do is cause a factory-shutting sales slump. I look forward to seeing People Tree's range for Topshop, espcially if they have more of the same, like their 'Katya' jacket above (£52).
