Red Carpet Watch: Cate Blanchett's Silver Suit
At the recent New York premiere of her latest film, "Notes On A Scandal", Cate Blanchett opted against the traditional red carpet frock in favour of a silver suit and matching stilettos.
Proving that suits aren't strictly for the men folk, Cate stole the show by choosing a sophisticated style exposing a little skin but not too much. The detail was left to a gorgeous flower jewel brooch to hold her jacket together and a simple silver clutch purse.
To finish off her stylish ensemble, Cate's make up was keep simple with smoky eyeshadow and her hair swept up in a teased quiff, otherwise known as a pompadour.

I'm not big on stiff lines for both the outfit and hair. She reminds me of 7of9 from Star Trek: Voyager. Maybe I woouldn't complain if she'd opted for a sleek ponytail or loose waves instead.
