It's becoming more and more common for big name designers to sue the high street chains that try and copy them, but this week it's one of the big boys themselves who're being sued - Ralph Lauren's Polo label.
Polo has just been successfully sued by denim label G-Star, which claims that Polo copied the designs of jeans and a jacket. Although Ralph Lauren deny the claims, they won't be challenging the ruling, with a spokesman saying, "We have the chance to appeal, but we have made a strategic decision not to.” Slap on the wrist for Lauren, then - or more likely a great big hefty fine...
